How do I find my 7-day screen time average?

On iPhone: Settings → Screen Time → See All Activity → scroll down to see your daily average for the week. On Android: Settings → Digital Wellbeing → Dashboard.

Why didn't my daily goal drop today?

The taper only advances on days you succeed — if you went over your limit yesterday, today's goal holds at the same number giving you another chance. It drops again after a successful day.

I missed logging a day. What happens to my streak?

You have a 2-day grace window. Open the app, tap "Log Screen Time", and you'll see tabs for yesterday and 2 days ago. Log those days before the window closes to keep your streak alive.

My Screen Time showed a wildly incorrect number. What do I do?

Apple's Screen Time occasionally miscalculates — it's a known issue. Log your actual number and the app will give you the option to flag it as a glitch. Your streak will be protected and the day won't count against you.

How do I change my taper speed?

Tap the "Taper Speed" row on the home screen. You can switch between 5, 10, and 15 minutes per day. Today's goal will stay the same — the new speed takes effect from tomorrow.

Can I update my baseline if my habits have changed?

Yes. Go to Settings (gear icon) → Update Baseline. Enter your current 7-day average and the taper will reset from that number. Your past Time Saved history is preserved.

I reached 30 minutes but want to raise my baseline again. Can I?

Yes. Go to Settings → Update Baseline and enter a new number above 30 minutes. The app will unlock the taper and resume from your new baseline.

What is the "Hold" toggle in Settings?

Hold locks your current daily limit and pauses the taper. Your streak keeps running. When you're ready to resume reducing, toggle it off and pick a taper speed.

What is "Time Saved"?

Time Saved shows the total minutes you've saved compared to your original 7-day average — the number you entered when you first set up the app. It accumulates every day you stay under your taper goal.

Will my data transfer if I get a new phone?

Unfortunately not — all data is stored locally on your device for privacy reasons and does not sync to iCloud or any cloud service. We recommend noting your current streak and baseline before switching devices.

How do I reset the app and start over?

Go to Settings (gear icon) → scroll to the bottom → Reset App & Start Over. This clears all data and returns you to the setup screen.
