1. About ScreenStreak

ScreenStreak is a personal screen time reduction tool available on iOS and Android that helps you gradually reduce your daily smartphone usage through a manual taper system. You set a baseline, choose a taper speed, and log your screen time each day. The App tracks your streak, time saved, and progress entirely on your device.

2. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ScreenStreak mobile application ("App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ScreenStreak. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

4. How the App Works

ScreenStreak is a fully manual tool. It does not read your screen time automatically. You enter your screen time data yourself each day, and the App uses that data to:

• Calculate your daily limit based on your baseline and taper speed
• Track your streak of days under your limit
• Calculate time saved compared to your original 7-day average
• Suggest recalibration if your habits shift significantly

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into the App. ScreenStreak relies entirely on self-reported numbers. Entering inaccurate data will produce inaccurate results. The App is a tool to support your own goals — it is not a replacement for medical advice, therapy, or professional support.

6. No Medical Advice

ScreenStreak is a productivity and habit-building tool. It does not constitute medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional guidance. If you are experiencing serious issues with technology addiction or mental health, please consult a qualified professional.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by ScreenStreak and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScreenStreak is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ScreenStreak shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including any loss of data or streak progress.

10. Data and Privacy

11. Updates and Changes

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App at any time without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to communicate any major changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.
